Ilion barrels

was just wondering if the barrels made in Ilion were made diffrent than the ones made in Gander ? ???

What I have gathered from reading the major difference is more accurate bore sizeing, on design specs rather than oversized bore. I'm not as knowledgable as many on this board though.

Rifle barrels are made by Marlin, most of Garder's were too for the last few years. Ilion will be making hammer forged barrels eventually tho.

Marlin makes good barrels.  ;) Hammer forged quality remains to be seen, but if it's up to industry standards, they should be good.
