Squashing an ugly rumor about AARP
« on: August 31, 2009, 04:00:23 AM »
Once and for all: AARP is for the socialized medicine bill. Just check their web site and it will be very clear.

I have heard from a couple of people that AARP is now against the bill. That is not true.

I never doubted that, they are merely Socialists.

I agree they are for the socialized medicine bill. In fact, they've been running a pro-socialization ad campaign on the History channel which attests to that fact.

ah, AARP, builing it's corporation off of the backs of young americans since 1958.
I'm voting 3rd party in this election by writing in Jesus Christ for president.  Sadly even if this were an option most of you would still vote Republican because "It's a two party system."

they are no better than the punks that go to old folks houses and take advantage of them , they give me free membership ( training me for when they can charge ) i let them send their junk ( as long as it is free ) best way to keep an eye on them . Tried the same thing with Playboy but the wife said NO !

Well AARP can keep their junk. I just pack it all back up into their self-addressed, postage paid envelopes, and send it all back to them.

The wife actually bought me a subscription to Playboy one year for a Valentines Day gift. She knows I like to read the articles. ;)

AARP, who claims that they are not for the bills in Washington now, but are obviously lying, will be doing a mail blitz to 8 million people within the next month with information about the health care bills.

Perhaps, but their propaganda has been to identify "myths" and "misinformation". This means they have been opposing opponents of the bills. In other words, they are for the bills. See today's USA Today for details.

Thanks Casull. I thank the Lord every day for the blessings He has given me. I wouldn't trade my Wife for for 1000 of those Playboy pinup girls. And now, I'm off to the rifle range - my back yard. ;)

;D She reads some of them. She really liked the post about the "Butt-Out," but I think she had me in mind to use it on. :D Actually, my 7-year-old really enjoys GBO. She's getting her reading down well and she'll stand right over my shoulder and read some of the posts to me. She has a little problem translating Slim Rem's and 45-70Gov's posts though. ;) Just kidding guys. I keep her out of the "Pot Belly Stove" forum. But that's what I really like about GBO - you can let your kid read the posts and not have to worry about weird topics, swearing, and the like - very family oriented.
