Question about trigger and action jobs.

I've got a import SA in 45LC that has a trigger/action job done on it. It was done by Cactus Jack of the CASS fame.
I was just wondering what you guys might think is an appropriate percentage of the cost for the work to pass on when I sell it?
Obviously not all, just kind of trying to figure out how big a loss I need to take on the work.

Some where between 75 cents and a dollar. Sadly as nice as such things are you do not get any return on them at resale. See the discussion regarding this same type issue at:

  I gotta agree with GB.  Unless work is done by one of the big boys (Bowen, Linbaugh, Harton, etc) work does nothing for adding value.  It can actually reduce value.  Also, unless the work can be documented word of mouth gives zero proof of who did what.

to me if it wasnt done by someone i know personaly it would make the gun worth less. Ive seen to many action jobs by even some of the better known gunsmiths that were done wrong. What happens is if you shoot the gun alot sear surfaces wear and after a while your 2 lb trigger becomes a 6 oz trigger and in some cases they cant  be recut and you end up having to start all over with new parts.
