45 colt find

I was in a gun shopthe other day and i found a 45 colt buffalo classic.  this was the short barrel with the walnut stock and the frame looked cased hardened.  I thought this was a used gun at first but they told me that they had a few of them in the back.  I was able to buy it with tax and everything for 265.  I will post  some pictures.  What do you guys think?

Great find, especially at that price since that is what I paid for a new 223 Rem variant.

That's a great buy, they sell new for about $100 more, the Colt BC carbine is real popular even tho they cost more, finding one for the price of a Handi is good deal !  ;) They're also an easy rechamber to 454 Casull or 460S&W. Case coloring is fake on the frame, it's the same SB2 frame as their other high pressure chambered rifles.

I have attempted to buy 3 used and 1 new .45lc BC's on this site in the last 3 months. Of those, I bought the new for 280 shipped and a used (with extras) for 260 shipped. Both received by me and perfect. Another used was an accepted deal at 200 picked up, but I had logistic issues (ended up sold to the guy's neighbor) and another used rejected by the seller at 250 plus shipping (lowest he would go was 300.) I know of a new one for 250. Am waiting for it to drop further before I move on it. Seriously.

CW, I'm thinking that will be my next ream-job.  That and open up the throat on my 38-55 if I don't order some starline brass.  I must have 400 cases made by Winchester and hate not to use 'em.  DP

 I haven't shot it a whole lot, but even just shooting the starting loads accuracy is excellent!! I doubt it will surpass the Maxi as my favorite.. but it will easilly be in the top 3 fav handis!! (My 32-20 is #2)

I just talked to Whitaker, and their price was 352.99 and 349.00 (talked to two different people).  They don't have them, but they should be in Wednesday.  They can keep them at that price.  I called back to make sure they weren't quoting on a BC instead of a carbine.
