Martini barrel removal
«

I have a Martini that was used as a prison rifle, with a smooth bore barrel. The top of the barrel at the receiver appears to be a dovetail, or a piece dovetailed in
Is there a trick to removing this barrel that isn't obvious?

It unscrews just like any other barrel. Make sure you remove the extractor first.

What's the dovetail for? The top of the barrel is clearly a dovetailed in piece.

Dovetail is for a rudimentary rear sight.
