Enfield 2A in need of sandblast so that I can Aluma Hyde it. Made a sporter style stock with a drill purpose stock set from Springfield Sporters. It is splotchy coachwood, but the fitting job that I did on the recoil pad is, hands down, the best work that I have done. I used a Pachmayr and the others were Limbsaver. Maybe the Limbsavers are harder to work because they are so soft..........
Window shopping online for small $100 compressors to power blaster.
Bought the epoxy to bed my CZ 527 in 7.62x39. BEST RIFLE EVER. Only hiccup to this rifle is reassembly is so hard to do. The rifle can be assembled with receiver properly vertical, or canted 5-10 degrees in either direction........so it needs bedding in my opinion. Otherwise, metal finish, accuracy, operation, caliber.....love it.
Recrowned Yugo SKS that had barrel cutdown. Going to range to test Wednesday if I get up early enough (I work graveyard).
Trying to find escutcheon to cover 3/4 hole around action screw Winchester 670. Coming up goose eggs on that one.
Bone pile project is Remington 700 that scratches brass as it feeds and strokes over the #3 and #4 cartridges. Can't find burr, have polished, don't know.Have shimmed under mag box, tried different things, can't figure out. Shame is that it is my most accurate rifle. I drag it out every couple of months and fiddle with it. Can't sell it in good conscience.
Nothing really major, but keeping busy.
