Falling snow

I've lived in NC for 64 years and do not recall ever deer hunting in a beautiful falling snow.  Sort of tough to use binocs and a rifle scope with those big flakes coming at me.

We got 2 1/2 inches in Edgecombe County on the afternoon of the 4th.  Now its so cold the pipes are frozen at the club, so I've come home to pout.

i was kinda hoping winter would come in like a lion ,go out like a lamb..but its not looking that way..

We have been hammered with snow since before Christmas with 12 inches on the ground, more falling now. Temperatures in singles to 20's. Season now closed. The deer are now moving around looking for browse and would be easy to harvest using white camo poncho-- Oh well,  next year should be good as I have a 7 doe herd which should equal at least 7 fawns plus 7 moms.
Would be great time for coyotes but this past season the pack has moved elsewhere.
