Tom, I actually thought about the saq oil today as I was stirring up the meat. With the heat we've been having I don't think I'll have to wait to long to add the sodium benzoate. Even with just the tinctured beaver castor the meat is taking on that nice sweet smell that castor puts into a good meat bait. Tomorrow I'm going to split up the meat into 3 different batches and add saq oil to one, skunk tincture to one and leave the other like it is for early season bait. I may even do a little more experimenting with the one batch and see what sort of reaction I get later on in the season. I have some beaver meat that I did the same thing to and it really draws them in.
