30-06 Factory Loads?

I do not have access to reloads, so my question is about factory loads? I have an Encore 15"ss 30-06 barrel. Is there a chart with different ammo and bullet weights. What are the best for this gun for deer. I have read there is neglegable difference in speed from a rifle and a 15" pistol, like 5%. Also has anyone had any experience with this Cor Bon Single Shot Hunter rounds that are supposed to be enhanced for pistol length barrels. I can't find any info, even on thier web site. New to the TC Encore realm, had a Contender back in the 70s and loved it.

Velocity loss with decreasing barrel length will probably be 15 to 30 fps down to a barrel length of about 18 inches below which there will be more velocity loss per inch of barrel.

Loads that are accurate in a long barrel will probably also be the best ones for a short barrel.  It isn't necessary to choose specific powders just because the load is for a short barrel.  If I were you, I would buy several boxes of 30/06 ammo from the likes of Remington, Winchester and Federal with bullet weights of 150 grains and/or 165/168 grains.  Any of those would be fine for deer so just use the one that shoots best in your gun.

I've also bought some military surplus 308 Winchester cartridges from the likes of Cheaper than Dirt that turned out to shoot pretty well in both my rifle and in my handgun so, if you can find some cheap surplus 30/06 ammo, it might be worth trying.

Velocity loss going from a 24" barrel to a 15" barrel is a more than 5%.

From Lyman data:

24" bbl - 50.0/IMR3031 = 2932 fps
15" bbl - 49.0/IMR3031 = 2614 fps
15" bbl - 50.0/IMR3031 = 2667 fps adjusted

That's a 10% velocity difference - certainly not negligible, but still plenty of power for any deer.
