Ah-h-h...freezer meat!
« on: October 13, 2009, 03:23:01 AM »
Took my first freezer meat for the year yesterday afternoon.  Big, single doe walked out of the swamp almost right under me.  Shot her with my CariBow recurve, putting a 125 grain fixed 3-blade stainless steel Snuffer through the boiler room.  Tasty eating!        ;)

Now I need one more, then hold out the rest of the season for a buck.

Best of luck to all, Arch

To me meat in the freezer is what deer hunting is about. Between me and my son we have 11 tags. we try to put enough in the freezer so we only buy beef and pork if we want to.

Congrats.   Agree with spikehorn - it's fun to get a nice buck now and then, but that's not why I hunt.
