I've got my mind set on getting one of the above guns, but I am undecided which to get. I do very much like double triggers on the Bobwhite but this is not a deal breaker. The Bobwhite's English stock configuration is also nice, but not especially the high comb. On the other hand, the Ringneck may have better wood and finish(so I'm told). Looks are important to me, especially when I sit in my armchair doing imaginary hunting. Regarding barrel length, I'm leaning towards 28" barrels. I've never seen either gun in the flesh---just basing my thoughts on pictures and what I have read.
Regarding gauge, the 20 gauge is more adaptable and has cheaper and more available ammo. Yet, the 28 is lighter and many prefer it. I already own a 22 mag/20 gauge combo gun, so I woulnd't have to buy separate ammo.
What say ye folks? I plan to order one soon.
