I found this looking for ideas for a custom 45 LC.At 26 oz its like having a 329PD only in a Blackhawk.Wonder how much they want to do it.Its to late to call them right now.

You should check out Alan Harton in Houston, Texas.
IMHO the very best custom Single-Action 'smith around, and he specializes in Rugers. Beautiful Colt restorations too.
You should see the 5-shot .38 specials he makes from 3-screw .22 Ruger S/As.

clements does them too he did a 4 inch 45 colt for me. Its got a aluminum grip frame and ejector houseing and scalloped recoil sheild and loading gate. its a joy to carry but with heavy loads is a handfull.

That would be a sweet, little handgun!  But I think Lloyd's approach would be more practical for shooting and still a good compromise for weight.  Me, one of these days I'll just find me a SAA clone in .45 with a bird's head grip and a 3 1/2 or 4 inch barrel.  She'll be light and handy and that is all I need with flat nose bullets at 950 fps.  Not to minimise your choice, if you like it, go for it!  It sounds like an excellent revolver.  Just my preference.  44 Man

     Look at the Birdshead with the TrueIvory grips and see if it's what you had in mind.

     Kind of a neet little gun, I think, in 45 Colt.

     Fits in my pocket of my hunting coat easily when deer hunting in MI.

Yup!  That's the one!  Give me one of those in .45, and I'd be a happy man!  Wish I had the extra to go and hunt one of those up now but I don't.  But it is definately on my list.  Where in MI do you hunt?  If you poke your finger in the center of the map of the lower penensula, then look a finger width higher, that where I am.  44 Man.

I'm thinking of getting just the Titanium Cylinder.When the cylinder is out of a Blackhawk the frame is pretty light.I'll have to call and see what that will cost.

I'm about 60 miles from you. Live in Luther and hunt the state land near here.  Shoot Cowboy Action down to Rockford and over to Scottville most months. Not going to Rockford tomorrow simply 'cause it's going to rain, and going to WI for a shoot next weekend.  The one you ooked at is in 45 Colt, and will throw a fireball a good 20 feet with BP loads, LOL!!!!!

What ya got to trade??? I don't need it, just kept it 'cause it's kind of neet!!! And the grips are KOOL!!!!!
