Long time coming...seed is on the ground.
« on: October 07, 2009, 05:08:56 PM »
Now we are approaching the dry season after months of wet.  It is hoped that there are still a few days of rain left prior to the long term winter drought.  I can attest that there isn't much "green" left growing in those fields on on those roads.  Between the disc and Roundup, every green thing was "murdered" prior to seeding.  How much of the dormant weed seed will germinate when there is rain, only time will tell.

Does anyone use a soil sterilant to kill the dormant weed seeds?  How is that working for you?  Is it worth the time and effort?
