All my last predator hunts were with traditional sidelock muzzleloaders, wearing my rondy attire and using mouth calls I made myself. Got back to the basics IOW, and had more fun than all the years I shot the laser guided missle launchers at them. In my case my main battery was one of my two 36 caliber cappers (TC Hawken/CVA Squirrel), plus I wore my Siber 45 capper pistol cross draw in my sash for backup and the close shots. Only double I scored on a single stand though was a grey fox with the 36 Squirrel rifle and stopping a badger that was right in my face with the 45. Even more so than regular predator hunting setup is the key to success as you do have to get them up close and personal with traditional muzzy's, and running shots are very challenging.
