cases stick when its hot

been a while since i've been on here. today while shooting my handi .223 almost everyone of my cases stuck when ejecting. i'm shooting winchester factory ammo, that has never stuck before. the chamber has been polished as well. in the past i've had shells stick when i loaded handloads too hot, but never factory stuff. today here in texas it was about 92 degrees. think it was just the heat? everything seems to be functioning well on the rifle.

It could be a weak ejector spring or dirty/oily ammo, make sure there's no oil on the ammo and add a BB ahead of the ejector spring and see if it helps, this info is in the FAQs.  ;)

didn't see a diagram,is there much to taking the ejector out to do this? checked my ammo, its slick new brass.

i see this happen alot from brass that has been fire formed to other chambers.
and the reloader lack'n to FLS with a lil'bump
but if your using factory ammo, i agree with tim.
you got other problems if your factory ammo is give'n ya fits.
have you tried other brand ammo?

well, took it all apart, cleaned all the components put a trusty BB in and now it shooting out the cases that were sticking last night. my only question now is, i wonder if the spring will weaken over time and start doing the same thing again? thanks for the help.

The spring can be replaced, H&R and Brownell's have new ones and Numrich has used, you local hardware store may even have one that will work.
