I've been shooting a 12" Encore all summer, but I also purchased a pair of Denzel Roberts Recoil Tamer grips, and they tame it quite a bit. It's not ported, and it's a standard factory barrel. I get great accuracy results with it, although I don't have a chrony, I'm following established, not necessarily published data. If you want info, PM me or email me, I prefer not to post them. I've used everything from 250 gr. to 370 gr. cast and jacketed with H110, Accurate #9, and Unique. I use a 4x EER Leupold in Redfield triple rings that have been lapped. I use Starline brass and CCI BR-4 small rifle primers. The recoil is manageable, I thought the full-power 300 gr. loads were bad until I'd shoot about ten full-house 355 gr. cast loads, then the 300 gr. loads seemed like pussy cats, and the 255 gr. plinker load is almost no recoil at all. If you need any help, just holler, I'll give you everything I can.
