Cast performance 300 gr LWFNGC
« on: August 28, 2009, 05:50:26 AM »
Ordered me a box of these Cast performance 300gr. Lead Wide Flat Nose Gas Check. To shoot through my 44 mag. Anyone used these before. they got good reviews on midway.  I have H110, 2400, and H4227 in stock.  Could someone tell me if they like this bullets? If so what were some of your favorite loads with this bullit.  It will be used on deer and hogs. Thanks.

Any quality hardcast bullet of that weight range in the .44 will hammer game.  For H110, try around 21 grains.

Thanks for the advice JK. I read some writings from Sheriff Jim Wilson and he said his favorite load for game with the 44 Mag was a 300gr. Hardcast with 21.5 gr. of H110.

You'll do fine with that.  I don't know how good the C.P. bullets are, but I know that many people like them.  I used to buy from Beartooth Bullets and Montana Bullet Works.  The both make quality bullets.  Now I make my own.  WAAAYYYYYY better this way, not necessarily in quality but to save money.

I shot a hog couple years ago with a 300 or 310 grain wfngc bullet & some H-110 ~~bullet entered point of shoulder & exited hip.  I'm pretty sure it was a CP bullet.

I found the Cast Performance bullets shot especially well out of my Ruger handguns.
Vote them all out, EVERY election!

Does anyone remember the scene from "Quigley Down Under" showing the aborigines lined up on the skyline as far as you could see?   That needs to be US!
