Apex rings and bases?
« on: September 01, 2009, 03:52:48 PM »
I plan on owning an Apex rifle soon, with the muzzleloading barrel to follow later.  Anyone have any recommendations on an interchangeable scope base system?  Leupold Quick Release would be my choice, but they appear to not have the base available yet.

Apex comes with its own base. I dont think aftermarket stuff is made for it.. Yet...

Rings probably will take the standard Weaver type.

Thanks Bigblock, I was hoping that I could get a quick release set.  Maybe down the road...

If the bases take a Weaver style rings then you are set as there are several manf. that make QR rings for Weaver base including Weaver.....

Can't use the link Bigblock, but I got to thinkin'...I'll have to rezero the scope to go from the rifle to the ML anyway, so standard weaver style rings will work fine, just take a little longer to swap.  BTW, does anyone know how durable (like staying locked down) those Weaver style QR's are?
