« on: September 01, 2009, 04:19:40 PM »
Any one can point me to reloading data for 410 with blue dot, for 1/2, 9/16, and 3/4 oz loads?

Don't think so. I've never seen a load for blue dot in the .410. I suggest you use powders more appropriate for the round.

I looked through a lot of older data, back about the time Blue Dot was introduced. Hercules & Alliant had recipes for their 2400, nothing for Blue Dot.

W296/H110, the 4227s and Lil' Gun are the primary powders used in .410 loading.

Darm simple W/BD it's a magnum shotgun powder 10ga 12ga and Steel also great as a Mag pistol powder.

It's a very slow burning shotgun powder you want something that is fast try 410 powder along WW296 and lil gun, they where made for the 410.
Remember it's where the first bullet goes out of a cold barrel that counts most.

I have my burn rate chart taped to my reloading bench and my putter 5 feet away guess I was reading upside down or something thanks for the correction.

Me thinks that chart is deceiving. Looking at the numbers for them it has to be listing them from slowest to fastest it would seem. There is no way there are that many powders FASTER than those listed in the higher numbers.

So #1 on that chart would be the slowest powder made that is listed. If I'm correct you should find Bullseye with a much higher number yet as it's about the fastest you can buy. H1000 is one of the slowest and so should be one of the lowest numbered ones in the list.
