Ejector Rubbing/Grinding

I have a .223 SB2 (Ejector Model) and I have what may be a stupid question. Is the Ejector supposed to rub hard enough on the face of the action when closing it to where it makes grinding marks? Its right there by the firing pin and this doesn't seem normal to me..
Thanks

Yup, that's normal, you can use a little dry lube on it to help, but no oil which can get on the latch/shelf and cause accuracy problems. You can also polish the ejector face if it isn't already polished.

Thanks quick..I did notice it is a lot worse since I wiped down the ejector, I must have wiped off any lube that was there. I'm going to try some Rem Drilube or something on it and see if it helps.
