Price on a G-22

I'm considering my first Glock. My dealer has a price of $550 on it, but he will probably come down some. Is this reasonable, high, or what?

What kind of condition is it in? I am thinking that it might be a little high for me; But, I live in chicago and we have lots a Glocks for sale up here. Why do you want to try that one for your first Glock?

Well, it is supposed to be new. And as to the G-22, I want a full size and I want a .40.

If it is new that price is ok. Go get it, and enjoy your Glock. You will love it, just like I love mine.

How about a mdl 20? For the price of an aftermarket barrel ($90) you can have a 10mm for serious discourse and a 40 for plinking!

Well, the one my dealer had is gone, it was there Saturday and I went in earlier today and it was gone. Figures. It sat there for several months, and within a day of my deciding to purchase it it is sold. Oh, well, might have to look into the Model 20. He could order me one, but I like looking at a gun before I purchase it. Might have to shop around. Thanks for the help, folks.

Are you a police officer...if so, that price is waaaaaaayyyy high. You should be in the 429.00 ball park with nightsights from any Glock Dealer. I've never priced them out as a civilian, wouldn't know the price on that.

No, just a average citizen. I talked to a coiple of police officers the other day, though, and they quoted about the same price you did. By the way, I was at my dealers store when this conversation occured and he told me that was less than his dealers cost! HE can't get 'em that cheap. It worked out in the end, though.  afellow sold him his very slightly used G-22 a couple of days ago and I snapped it up. I doubt if this gun has had a box of ammo through it. I got it for $450. Still a little high, maybe, but below the cost of a new on in this area.

Congrat's on the #22.  I use one for a duty weapon and love it.  Mine seems to like the 180 grain Speer Gold Dot.

i bought a 23 brand new for $525, and my brother just bought a 22 for about $540-550, so i think you got a good deal, it all depends on who you go through, i know law enforcement can get them at a cheaper price if you can go that way or not.
