I bought a new CHEVY SILVERADO 2500HD on Tuesday and returned to it the dealer yesterday because I couldn't get the radio to work.

The salesman explained that the radio was voice activated.

'Nelson,' the salesman said to the radio.

The radio replied, 'Ricky or Willie?'

'Willie!' he continued and 'On The Road Again' came from the speakers.

Then he said, 'Ray Charles!', and in an instant ' Georgia On My Mind' replaced Willie Nelson.

I drove away happy, and for the next few days, every time I'd say,'Beethoven,' I'd get beautiful classical music, and if I said, 'Beatles,' I'd get one of their awesome songs.

Yesterday, some guy ran a red light and nearly creamed my new truck, but I swerved in time to avoid them.

I yelled, 'A@#-Hole!!!!!'

Immediately the radio responded with, "Ladies and gentlemen, the president of the United States ....

Dang I love this truck......

Yeah well OK except it's Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles that have the voice activated radio.

Reminds me of a story from my youth.........Back in the early sixties I had an Oldsmobile that had a switch in the floor near the dimmer switch (remember those?) that changed the radio station. I had a young lady in the car that liked “Rock & Roll” music, my preference was country. We are tooling down the road with her tuning in rock & roll stations, as she found one I would hit the foot switch and change to a country station. After several times she asked what I was doing, I said “nothing.” She then asked why the station kept changing? I told her the radio was equipped with country tubes and would only play country music. Not only did she believe me, she told her family and her father had to see the radio. I never told him the difference either.

I think I may have found a huge flaw in VAR. What if your just simply having a casual conversation with someone in the truck about music??? Tha radio could be switching stations all over the place! Then What?

Sync (likely not the way Ford spells it) I think requires you to speak clearly as follows:

PLAY music by: name of artist.
