Most of us are out trying to figure how to outwit that ole buck this fall. Heck, it'll do to outwit a doe or two.

Good luck to you on your Elk hunt, I would trade places with you any time. I would rather go on an Elk hunt, I have yet to kill one.. I have killed a number of black bear...

Shooting is going well and I am confident in my shooting.

Are you going to shoot the rage 2 blade a the bear still or have you changed your mind? I have been shooting the practice 100gr, they shoot to the same spot as my field tips, have shot the real thing a couple of times and they do to.

Yes I am going to shoot the Rage 2 blade, I have killed several black bear with rifles, and a few with handguns, but not one yet with my bow..
I heard so many good things about the Rage, I have to give them a try. As far as accuracy, they are great, now I will put to test the killing ability of the blades...

Bow is restrung and deer season is less than 60 days away.

Redhawk, I would use a 3 or 4 blade on bear. Bears can have a thick layer of fat that can seal up. I had that problem on a hog with a magnus 2 blade. Found the hog but lots of hands and knees tracking.

I talked to a guy the other nite he had used the rage 2 blade on pigs and realy
like them, they are accurate but i worry about hitting bone, with those thin blades
but folks say they do fine. I have also been shooting the t-lock they are real accurate and a solid ss body and thicker blades. :-\

With a 2 inch cut I doubt that the hole will close up. I have seen several black bears taken with a 2 blade broadhead and the gash the blades made with not going to close up or get clogged with fat.

Also, I have received several reports for hunters that have taken hogs, deer, black bear and Elk with the Rage two blade broadhead's, with great success. So I am going to use them...

I have been shooting a lot 4 days a week out to 40 yards.
This week i started shooting 50-60 yards it is funny how the last 15-20 yards
on a 60yd shot the arrow becomes visible and starts falling. My target is on the end of a 20yard patio cover at work, then i am out in the sun, maybe it just looks different because of that.                                                                       Yesterday
was the first day i have had NO wind, was a lot better shooting

Keep up the long range practice rexx.  You can "reach out n touch 'em" like the phone company.  And just like Marine Recon, swift, silent, n deadly!

Took one in the bow season here. Its way to early here in CA.
