HWZ Mod 29

Can anyone tell me about this model. It appears to be a falling block .22LR rifle of unknown age. It is a sporter configuration with Schuetzen style German rear sight. Looks well made but I have not seen one like this previously and cannot find one on the auction boards.

Your guess is as good as mine I did not see a HWZ in my Blue book or Wilson gun guides so I have no idea? Are you sure HWZ is the only markings??? What other markings are on it? Maybe more info will give us a clue? Jim
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

Top of the Reciever is marked HWZ stialized with a large Z and the H and W on either side in a smaller font.

Left Side of the Reciever is marked "HWZ Mod. 29"

Left side of barrel "Calibre 6/22 Long" although lond rifles fit without engraving the bullet. Many of the BSA's I have are marked long even though they are long rifle chambers so this might be a European thing in the early 1900's.

Sorry, but that is all I have to go on.
