It's strange that they're using the term "recycle" for this. The best kind of recycling is to re-use the thing. But once the engine is destroyed by the program, direct re-use is impossible, and only the parts can be re-used.

Yes, I always thought that re-use was best for the land and the pocket book. Apparently, burning and throwing stuff in the trash and expending energy for a new thing is best in the Liberal mind set. These people are funking crazy.

There should be some really good, almost new cars up for sale at the banks before to long.

Just don't understand why someone who is down on their luck or out of work would want to trade in a car that was paid for that was getting X number of MPG and go in debt for a new one at the price of $20,000.00 to $30,000.00 that gets anywhere from 4 to 10 MPG more than their old one.
You can make a lot of repairs and buy a lot of gas for that kind of money and not be in debt doing it.

Agree 100%.  That's why I'm still driving a 10 year old truck.  It's been long payed for.  Even if it cost me $1000  a year in maintenance and repairs (which is unlikely) it's still far cheaper than a $300 monthly truck payment for the next 3 - 5 years.

Keeping the people broke and dependant is all part of the Liberal control process. They want you to be broke and money hungry. This way you are more likly to vote for their free hand outs and government givaways like health care.

Keep buying yourself to the brink of the financial abyss America.....the Liberals will save you!!!!!  No Worries!!!

Well, I hope we all agree that this Sig program is an example of a GOOD cash for clunker program.
