GREAT DEAL on one of the best rifles ever built!

I have 3 Whites, and a 209 conversion. To tell you the truth, the #11 system is WAY better than the 209 in a White. The ONLY reason I bought a 209 conversion was to shoot BH209 powder. If you are shooting Black Powder, Pyrodex, 777, APP, BM'XP, or any of the other powder subs, stick with the #11 cap. The #11 cap is virtually waterproof once seated tight on the nipple, the 209 primer conversion would leak like a sieve.

AGAIN, the #11 capped White is virtually waterproof with the one piece nipple/breech plug. Just use a good grease or teflon tape on the threads, and you won't find any 209 conversion that will do a better job.

Put those 495 gr No excuses on top of a 70 to 80 gr charge of 777, and you won't find a better shooting muzzleloader, unless it is another WHITE!

I would also use a fiber gasket wad between the powder and bullet to help seal out the elements, it will also improve accuracy. If you are really worried about rain, put a finger-cot or a balloon over the muzzle.

Your buddy will LOVE that rifle, they just don't make 'em like that anymore.

Good luck with that rifle! Everyone I know who has a White really loves it.
Six years ago I decided to buy my first inline, and I wanted a White.
But, I couldn't find one.
The White web site listed 7 or 8  dealers within a couple hours drive from here.
I began calling them, things got real weird.
The first two stores I called were no longer in existence.
The third store, the guy had never heard of White rifles. I told him, he was listed as a White dealer.
He said he had bought the store a year earlier but he didn't deal in Whites.
And so it went. The stores either didn't exist, or didn't sell Whites any more. I never did see a White rifle.
Didn't want to buy a rifle over the computer, which I had never shouldered up.
So I bought a Savage instead. Ah well.
Aim small don't miss.

Got this in my email this morning....

Quote
I have some GOOD NEWS regarding the “209 SHOTGUN PRIMER CONVERSION KITS” for your White Rifle. I will have the parts in and plan to begin shipping October 1st. I have appreciated your patience during the time it has taken to get the kits back on the market.

You are receiving this e-mail because you are on our waiting list. First I want to confirm that you still want the kit. Second, the price is still $69.95 plus $5.00 shipping for those on this list. The price of the kit for those not on the waiting list will be $79.95 for Super 91, Model 98, Whitetail, and Model 98 Rifles. It will be $84.95 for G-series rifles.

Finally, the waiting list is quite long. For those who are willing to pay in advance, I will move their order a priority shipping list. These orders will ship first. Additionally, I will also waive the shipping charge. Please respond back to me and let me know what you would like to do.

Those wishing to pay in advance, I will send you an invoice via pay pal which will allow you to pay via credit card, bank transfer or pay pal. If you wish to send a check, make it to:

White Rifles
PO Box 1044
Orem, UT 84059-11044
whiterifles@gmail.com

I will ship in the order of payment received. Again, we appreciate your support of White Rifles. The conversion kit will add a new dimension to your hunting experience.  I look forward to hearing from you.

Sabotloader,

I'll believe that when I see it. If I had a nickel for everytime Steve said he was going to have something and never did, I'd be rich. I am still waiting on the B&C synthetic stock for my M-98, that has been over 6 years ago I was promised that one.

I guess he has two different Model 98's, and he dont even know his Whitetail is a Model 97 and uses the same hammer as the G-Series? ;D What a dip stick! I guess a guy should order one for the Whitetail if he wants one for the G-Series, since they are $5 cheaper and the same thing. ;)

I think he is fishing for money, so he can get them made?

Steve... ya i know exactly what you mean nad I to am leary of this... but I beleive if I pay through pay-pal - they will go after the Steve if he does not come through... I would never send a check or a money order... gotta have some re-course.

I really do not tneed another one but - i can not ever imagine getting rid my White so I think have a spare part is prudent.  I really enjoy shooting that gun with the 209 and the second generation 209 breech plug.

At one time I thought I would need a second BP if  I wore the first one out but now with the vent liner exeriment - I do not think that is necessary either....

Keep shooting muzzleloaders - they are a blast....
