I have on my nomex flight suit, so here is my question.
« on: October 07, 2003, 06:24:17 AM »
I have two mz rifles one a tc hawken 50, and a tc treehawk 50. I like to shoot sabots, but damn they (all different brands) are so hard to load in both rifles.  Seems as if when using 44 cal bullets that the combo is almost too tight in the bore. Then my buddy started using powerbelts last year and I couldnt believe how easy they loaded. So it gets me wondering could you use either 40 caliber or 41 caliber bullets in sabots designed for 44 caliber bullets in a 50 caliber rifle.  Seems like the fit should be tight enough still to grab both the rifling and the bullet in the sabot. Ok before you start I havent tried this yet. I was wondering if anyone here would fess up to trying this before and share the results before I buy some and try it for not. Thanks for the replies.

You are gonna need that nomex when I get through burning your ass!
No don't use the undersize bullets. They will probably fall out of the barrel if you point it at the ground.
Aim small don't miss.
