I've shot does on opening day a couple times when I knew my hunting time that season was going to be limited and I wanted to make sure I put meat in the freezer.

Normally I'll hold off filling a doe tag until later in the season, or wait until muzzleloader season.  There's been a few times when I waited too long and due to bad weather, bad hunting, or having to change my plans I've ended up with an unfilled tag!

yep i do. i have a two doe permits this year and plan to fill them first. hunting for a  buck will happen in the late season, or during muzzleloader season.
