I am looking to see if this barrel has any real collector value or should it just be shot ? Any estimates of value?
 I have no digital camera at this time to post pics so I will have to try to describe it . octogon barrel blue 10 inch 22 jet that looks every bit of new in the box .The front sight is like like none i have seen , It has a small hump near the base . The rear sight is different than what I am used to also , It uses small c clip to hold the windage screw in . below is as close as I can get on this key board to show the writing on the barrel ,It is more of 2 lines with the 22jet part spliting the 2 (i know clear as mud)

Your barrel sounds like a Type 3 circa 1973-75.   Not really collectable as per se other than 22 Jets don't come along every day.   I sold one like it that was mint (but without box) not that all that long ago for $165 if I remember right.   If you like to deal with making brass, they are good shooters.

Now if it was a 8 3/4" Type 1 Octagon 22 Jet on a '67 flatside frame....   ;)

I sold my 10" octagon .22 Jet ~ 2 months ago for $165 also, after I picked up the same caliber a 14" T/C Custom Shop barrel.  Graffs has brass in stock for less than you can fool with forming it.
