Any or what advantages to a thumbhole stock verses a tradition stock?

I always wanted one on one of my Contenders because I like the feel of them. Never put one on because I thought it would be a pain removing my thumb from the hole to cock the gun.

Myself I like the thumbhole stocks on Encores and Contenders. After getting use to them removing the thumb to cock the gun in a hunting or just shooting situation became second nature.

I like them, personally. They seem to carry better for me. Mostly a matter of personal preference.
