CVA youth setup
« on: September 14, 2009, 02:03:31 AM »
Looking to buy a CVA for my son for deer hunting, (slug guns are awefull hard to practise with at 14yrs old.) I like the look and feel of the Wolf. The cost of one of these is not much more than buying a slug barrel with sights for his 20 guage. The fiber optic sights it comes with  are nice. What sabot / powder loads are reasonable for deer and lower recoil???

If you do a search, you will find a ton of posting on the CVA WOLF.

My local gun shop sells a ton of them to deer hunters just wanting to get another weekend in the woods in.  They have sold them for the last three years and no major complaints.  Most of the owners/hunters/shooters just sight it in, hunt with it, and MAYBE clean it and put it away.

I'm looking for one now for my daughter.  Hoping to trade my extra CVA OP for it.
