Recently obtained a Model 700 "Classic" in 8x57. In the interest of experimenting with different bullet seating depths for accuracy I broke out my trusty Stoney Point (Hornady) Overall Cartridge Length Gauge. With the only .323 bullet I have so far- Prvi 175 PSP BT- the bullet is barely held by the case when seated to touch the rifling. This is the first time I have seen this- as my .222, .223, 7mm-08, 7Rem Mag, and .303 Brit all allow seating to the rifling with enough case neck contact to securly hold the bullet. Is this the result of an extremley long leade(?) into the rifling?
