Absolutely.  I have both a standard walnut stock and a Flex Tech stock for my Pro Hunter, and the difference in felt recoil is very noticeable. I only have a .243 Win barrel right now, and with the Flex Tech stock it feels more like a .22.

A search for "flex tech" in this forum turned this post up as the first in the list:

And this one third:

Hope this helps.

Shot my .308 Winchester with Flextec yesterday.  40 rounds at the range and no flinch or bruises this morning.  I am a wuzz about recoil.  I have Flextec stocks on my Son's 243 and my 50 caliber muzzle loader.

I have a Stainless-Steel Encore with the Factory Synthetic Stock. I replaced the Factory Recoil Pad with a Limbsaver Recoil Pad.

Would there be any difference in going to a Flextech Pro Hunter Stock over my Factory Synthetic Stock with the Limbsaver Recoil Pad that is on it now?

I've used the Flextech with an unbraked 500 S&W, then a wood stock with a Limbsaver recole pad.  I'd say the Flextech does help, but alot of it may be the better Sims recoil pad.

just shot a wood stocked encore in .45/70 with hornady leverution ammo. it was brutal.
same ammo in my flextech encore .45/70 is nowhere near as potent, not to say it aint gonna hammer you, bun not as bad.

I've shot both now, on the same frame and barrel (.270 Win). Yes, there is a definite difference. The recoil impact seems about half.
