Seemed to like both Winchester white box 45's and Hornady 55's, 1/2" groups at 100 yards, excellent trigger.....................

Poncaguy, I am not familar with the new Rem. lettering system. I assume this may be a heavy barreled varmiter. I had half a dozen of them I suppose over the years. They were all excellent shooters. Some were sold after being shot awhile, some were shot out and rebarreled. But to a gun they all shot super. I think Rem. at that time had a 1-14 twist. They shot 50 and 55 grain bullets very well. I also shot some 63 grain Serria in all of these rifles. My pals liked the 60 grain Horn. in several of theirs. But for me, I prefered the Horn. or Serria plastic tipped bullets in 50 grain, or 55 grain Serria HPBT. H4895 is my pick of powders. Other newer powders are on the market, but this one servered me well, and I have a bunch of it.

It's the new heavy triangle shaped vented barrel with a 1 in 14 twist. Also in 243 and 308 besides 22-250 I beleieve. It is definately a shooter!

If you decide on the SPS Varmint I can save you some money on one is almost new condition maybe 20 rounds or so fired.
