Trailboss and the 150 gr CB for 45-70?
« on: September 27, 2009, 06:19:05 AM »
Finally found some at the Outdoor World in Charlotte, bought both bottles they had in stock (at $12 a bottle I was mighty happy too).

NOw I'm looking for 45-70 load data for the 458 150 gr Collar Button, anyone got data?

I'd contact Hodgdon to see if they can help, I have lots of data for the collar buttons, but it was developed in 1999 long before Trailboss was available.

Every time I think I know....I find out exactly what I don't know.

Educate me if you can.....what is a collar button and what is it's purpose? (Accuracy improvement I would assume?)

Thanks

15 grains Pyrodex buried under cornmeal in a 45-70 case groups about 1" at 50 yards for me. Course that's out of a 32" BC barrel :)
