Versa Pack .22/.410 combo
« on: December 05, 2009, 02:40:17 PM »
I have a line on a Versa Pack with .22LR/.410 barrels and after reading some of the posts by others on the Versa Pack, I'm thinking it is going to become VERY versatile!

I have a Sportster .22WMR and a 12ga Survivor and my son has a Pardner 20ga, I'm hoping it will be possible for the 20ga or 12ga to work on the Versa Pack frame or the .410 on one or both of the other frames,  I know the .22WMR won't as it won't be offset.

I'm also thinking that it would be nice to get another .22LR barrel and get it reamed out to .22WMR so we have two .22WMR's to play with.  I like my .22WMR for varminting and this would allow my son to have one as well when we go out so he isn't sitting with a .22LR or 20ga.

How versatile have you guys made your Versas? :)

Thanks!
Plainsman :)

If you cxan get a Versa @ a decent price...grab it!..because myself and many others aren't cutting loose of ours.
With my aged eyes, I use mostly scopes..but I keep a peep sight on my Versa .22LR barrel..for close up, backyard stuff..using colibris or CBs.

Handi-aholic???

I think this has pushed me over the edge to becoming a true Handi-aholic...I went into the store to see if they had access to a new Versa-Pack and they did! I had no intention of buying any Handi this month! Now I'll probably have a new Versa-Pack by the end of next week and will be looking for a second .22LR barrel for it to have reamed into a .22WMR.  Plus, I'll be seeing if any of my shotgun barrels and frames will swap out...Is this what it means to become a Handi-aholic!?!  ;D

Congratulations Plainsman, if I ever see another Versa Pak or another Versa Pak barrel I am going to snap it up. You did GOOD!!!....<><....:)

P.S. - the .22 WMR conversion to a .22 LR Versa Pak barrel is outstanding!!! I as well as others here have done it and we all have gotten truly exceptional accuracy from them...
