 I am planning on hunting with my .357 max come Aug 15th.

 I think Dinny had one, but not sure if he hunted Deer with it.

I had a barrel that didn't want to fit any of my receivers, never did shoot it. I would suggest a search in the NEF/H&R Handi Rifle Discussion forum, there's a good amount of folks there that do hunt with a 500 S&W Handi rifle. From what I have seen and read, they work real good!

I got one at a gun show for $240 new,my friend that hunts with me used one last deer season,and shot a doe a little over 100 yards and it just droped.had a huge hole in it.he was using federal 275 grain barnes expander
