I know at the shop I spend all my $$ at, one of their 2006 catalogs showed a 9mm version in blued and stainless -- I want to say there was a 40 also but I can't swear by that.  However, when they called to check on ordering one they were told it was a "factory deletion" from the catalog.  In other words the distributor was planning on having them but Taurus changed their minds.....  At that point they did not know if Taurus would be them shipping anytime soon or not.  All that to say I have no clue  :-\

--That phone call was in the first part of last month.

I don't think they can make enough 45 1911's, hard to find one. So, I would think it will be awhile for a 9 or 40...........

Taurus quality has always been spotty, in a recent comparison of 1911's the Taurus was found to be very poorly made, it got a less than satisfactory rating in a comparison test.

The one I handled didn't impress me too much, not for the $600 they want.
Have seen several in SE Alabama.

I think they would sell a boat load of them in 9mm as they are much cheaper to shoot and reload for.

I'll buy one....
