Did my basic training in Anniston.

Yup a lot of folks did at Fort McClellan. Our son did even tho he was local and that was rare really for a local boy to be allowed to do basic there.

Why'd we Southerners let a Yankee General's name be put on a military post in that beautiful area of Alabama, even if we did have to, uh, well, suspend the War of Northern Aggression.?
