remington pump rifle
« on: September 27, 2009, 03:07:16 PM »
I just bought a remington pump 22 rifle. A 572 I believe. I think I may look for a remington 141 in 35remington to go with it. Make a nice pair of hunting rifles I do believe. :)

I own a Remington 141 Gamemaster in .35 Remington...What a rifle and what a cartridge. With Remington 150gr spire point, it was shooting about 2" at 50 yards off a front rest and open sights. If I could shoot more and get used to recoil, and maybe slap a 2-7x scope on it, I could easily shoot it better. It is a LOT of fun to shoot, and has a slick pump action.

Mine will never be for sale, its technically my dads, but he has no interest so my grandfather gave it to me to keep in my safe and shoot as I please, which my dad said hes completely fine with.

I might look at a Remington 121 .22lr rifle at a gunshop tues. Saw it there a few weeks back, it is in MINT shape and he wanted $345 for it, IIRC...It would be a darn near perfect match to the 141 I have, and, I just plain LOVE old guns :)

Then you should get a Rem 7615 (223) as a perfect fit between the 22lr and 35Rem

I have a Remington 572 and is the most accurate .22 I've ever had. I use it with the original iron sights. I saw a Rem. 141 in .35 Rem in the gun shop in Stroudsburg, Pa. last week. It was in good shape and had never been drilled and tapped. I believe they were asking $440 for it. Had to pass on it. Thought the price was a little high. A few years ago you could pick up those rifles in .35 Rem and .30 Rem in most gun shops around here for around $200. This past year it seems that there is a higher demand for these rifles. I already have a Marlin 336 in .35 Rem.
