Nobody sells a new discontinued $250 rifle for $50 unless the box is stamped "new reconditioned" -- the product was stolen --  or you are about to uncover some serious issues with that rifle during it's first trip to the target range.

I bought a Black Mt. Mag (about 230 bucks new). Took it to the range and worked up a load (using sabots and pyrodex pellets/powder) with no problem. Best workable load seems to be 100 grains with at least 260 grain sabot. I had been admiring the rifle for a couple when T/C discontinued it so I got it on sale. Has a hammer action but bored for sabots (!:28 twist). Oh yeah I switched out the no. 11 plug for a musket cap.

I shoot my T/C Blach Mountain with open sights. It has great fiber optics open sights. Besides I hunt in Florida so seldom have over 100 yard shot in the swamps. The rifle loads easily with .451 sabots. I also use musket cap with 100gr. pyrodex pellet or R/S powder.
