Don't really know, I have some original Frankford Arsenal 45-70's from 1897 ???. The person who gave me them said they will fire. If the do, that's a lifetime in my book. ;D

Thanks for the info. I plan on reloading for my BC 45/70 this winter maybe try casting bullets
