Truglow has a sight and mount, which takes the place of your iron sights.

Thank you John.  I have a TruGlo on my .445 Super and love it.  I'll go there and check it out.  You're appreciated.

I emailled TruGlo and they said they didn't make it ??? ???  Perhaps it's another brand?

Petemi,

Looks to me like the best way to put a red dot on a Ruger Revolver that doesn't isn't a Hunter model might be with JP Enterprises JPoint Holographic sight and bases (adapters) the goes in where the rear sight is normally. Link to page w/adapters: http://www.jprifles.com/1.6.1a.php  Link to page with sights: http://www.jprifles.com/1.6.1.php

Burrris offers what looks to be pretty much the same thing as the FastfireII with mounts for varied applications: http://www.burrisoptics.com/fastfire.html

The above products look like the "best" or cleanest way to put a red dot type sight on a non-hunter model Blackhawk.  The are small, compact, light weight; mount where the rear sight is mounted w/o modification to the revolver allowing to to be put back to original configuration easily.

Oh, notice the other firearms that can be set up with this setup.

Weaver makes a no drill mount also.

Go with the Weaver. I would avoid the B Square no drill mount as it will shoot loose no matter how you mount it.
