Yes, I lucked out and bought the only 25-06 a large gun store in Houston had received in their first shipment of the Marlin XL rifles. I did remove some plastic from the end of the stock to eliminate any contact between the stock and the barrel. I also reduced the factory trigger pull setting on its adjustable trigger. The end result was improving the groups the rifle shot at 100 yards. It has been awhile since I've taken the rifle to the range, so I do not remember what group size I could consistently shoot with the rifle. Just recall, I was pleased with the groups and they were under 1 inch.
