savage 10 ml
« on: October 25, 2009, 02:21:46 PM »
Back in sept I posted about shooting a 435 gr cast bullet w/ orange mmp sabot. I did get some interresting and helpful replies. Well, last week-end ML season opened in NY. On day two I got a clean shot at about 50 yds. I clipped a rib bone on the way in and the exit wound was close to the size of a silver dollar. It was a classic" bang- flop". I do like the load.  dan

My buddy asks me why I was shooting light bullets in my muzzleloader, he said he thought I would be shooting 300 to 400 gr. bullets in my muzzleloader. Seeing's how shot big lead in my handguns. Maybe he is right, I should look into this...  ;D

LOL, anything less than a 500gr bullet is for sissys.  Don't ever let anyone tell you anything different.  I love the spirit of big guns.  Congrats on your picture in the bear hunting magazine by the way.
