I'm a new guy (just introduced myself in the proper forum).  So many to choose from, I hope this is the correct forum for this:

The short story is that I ordered a set of Talley rings made for my Win 9422 from an on line store that I don't think is legit. I emailed Talley and told them the story. I asked them if they had any experience with the company and if they were legit. I was going to use the info in a conmplaint to the Pennsylvania BBB. Gary from Talley returned my email and said they never heard of the company, didn't do business with them, but that he would try to find out about them for me. Then he wrote something truly unexpected. He wrote "Give my your full address and I'll send you a couple of rings." This is above and beyond what anyone could expect. Every rifle I scope from now on will be done with Talley mounts.

They are excellent. I have a set on my .375H&H. Excellent. They were expensive but I think it was very sensible for rifle like that because of the recoil.

i have never had any, but i plan to buy a set for my new weatherby aught six.

Yes they are wonderful, but they are also overkill for most rifles. They are very expensive and many fine products are vastly cheaper and just as good for rifles that don't recoil a lot. I like mine, but I wouldn't put them on all my rifles.

IMO they are not that much more expensive and to me certainally worth the price. I have their one-piece lightweights on all my centerfire rifles except one I haven't scoped yet.
