My son is a Staff Sgt. in the 82nd Airborne. He went to Afghanistan and came back saying they were a bunch of fierce fighters, whom PREFERRED their 15th Century warlord world over ours.
When he came back from his first combat tour of Iraq, he spoke of getting caught in an ambush by Iraqis, and when his squad opened up with return fire, the Iraqi's held their children up in front of themselves, hoping the 82nd would not shoot back. They put CHILDREN on roof tops as "spotters" hoping the 82nd would not shoot them.
That first ambush really shook him up, and he told of how after the fight was over, his men asked if he had ever seen anything like that? He told them that as they were fighting he kept thinking that if HIS dad were there, he would have been standing INFRONT of him, and not hiding BEHIND him. He was right of course.
He stated that the Iraqi was not worth saving, and they would return to their old ways as soon as the U.S. stopped fooling themselves. HE, is right of course.
When he took his second tour in Iraq, in the big push into the worst of Baghdad with the Rangers, fighting house to house he returned with the same opinion of the Iraqi. They are not worth the blood we spill.
I am very proud of my Son, because of his courage, commitment, determination, and his leadership in combat, and most of all his COMMON SENSE of PERCEPTION OF THE REALITY.
This culture, or form of heathenism has been around since Abraham sired Ishmael. It will end when Christ His own self comes down and wipes them out. Everyone may as well get used to it.
Republican or Democrat? Neither will make any effort to stop it. They will however, do what ever it takes to get re-elected. So I say. Get used to it, as it will only get worse, as our leaders (and I use the term leader very loosely), both Republican and Democrat lead us to the threshold of 3rd World Country status.
