Only thing I know about that place is that teenage girl from Birmingham went there on her class trip and no one has ever seen or heard from her again.

You're right, but that's just all I know about Aruba. I wouldn't even know where to look for it on a map.

I took a cruise of the carribain back in the early 90'S. I spent one day in Aruba. I spent the whole day snorkling and had a lot of fun doing it. The water is crystal clear and there were many reef fish to swim among. Dale

Went there about 15 yrs ago for 10 days.    Water is crystal clear, beautiful for diving, people are very friendly, food was expensive, the butter and chocolate imports from Netherlands were delicious, the free range chicken was dry and tough, wind blows all the time, and it looks like Arizona with an ocean around it.   Got bored after 5 days -   great to visit once but not my cup of tea for a repeat trip.

Every 3 or 4 years my brother and his wife book themselves on one of these all-inclusive trips to Aruba.  They appear to enjoy it a lot. With the all inclusive deal you get all the beverages you can drink, and all the food you can eat included in the deal.  The last time they went they brought me back a t-shirt with a picture of a weird lizard on it.  Apparently these lizards roam free everywhere down there.  They appear in several photos Jim took while there, some even sitting on arms of chairs, etc.  I don't think they hunt them there--I think they are there to mooch food off the tourists.  Have fun.

The all inclusive resorts are the way to go. Just put a twenty $ in the palm of your event staff guy and tell him your wants and the same for your morning breakfast server/lunch server. They will always hold kayaks for you and other gear to the side. Servers will have FRESH coffee and whatever else you need when you walk into the dining area. Then I give them a twenty or ten $ the day I leave. For less than $100 dollars you basically have two men at your beck and call if needed for a week.

depends on what you want to do. partying go to aruba you will like it. shopping or scuba diving curacao next door is the spot.I heard bonaire is very nice to. so you cannot go wrong at any of the three islands. i agree with foxxtrot totally. the all inclusive resorts are the way to go.

We always go all inclusive, been to Jamaca liked it, wasn't to crazy about
Dominican Republic though. will be there 4 days i think, not much of a partier
been there done that, may try some fishing, don't think the golf is too good
because of the wind.
