So the government made the banks take the TARP money, created a climate of risk and uncertainty, mandated lending practices that guaranteed high default rates, had borrowing policies that depressed the value of the dollar, and now they want banks to increase lending!

Actually Questor, small business loans AND tax breaks for small business's is a good idea. It's making sure that the banks check who their lending the money too, and are business oriented. If they push loans to people and organizations that don't have a clue as to how to run a business, like they did home loans for years, then it's a bad thing. It'll only make things worse, which is what I suspect this present administration is wanting to do anyway.  gypsyman

You don't have to convince me that working capital for small businesses is essential. The government absolutely give tax breaks to business. But pushing banks to break their business model of risk calculation is far beyond what government should do.

promisies promisies of reform of the banking laws and regs.. promisies promisies....barney big butt has come to the rescue and has insured that nothing will or has changed...just the amount of smoke put out.

More stupidity from Hussein? I don't think so. I haven't seen ANY stupidity from him at all. I see sneakiness, lying, conniving, treachery, condescension, socialism, Marxism, heathenism, and traitoris behavior constantly from him. But STUPIDITY? Nope! Ain't seen that trait at all.
I HAVE SEEN STUPIDITY from the ones that voted FOR him, and those that voted for the LESSOR SCOUNDREL, expecting something different from them, than what they had always done.
