Walther Force 1000 air rifle

 Just recently purchased for $89.95 a refurb. Walther Force 1000  .177 cal. air rifle from Sportsmans guide. Price included a scope and S&H. Made the purchase out of boredom as a already have more air guns then I know what to do with. Figured it would be a "turd" and I play with for a while have a good laugh or two and send it back. Boy I could not have been more wrong if I'd tried. Pretty decent finish all the way around,cheapy scope but decent Mount's.Boy howdy does this thing shoot hard and accurately.How hard you asked?Thought you
would never ask. Across my Master Chrony with fresh battery 58 d, humid 8 shot group Crosman premier hp's averaged 1004fps. 9 shot average.1004 fps. for Gamo Tomahawks. Decent trigger and balance means I can't send it back!All this and I have shot less than 200 rounds threw it due to a little rain here in East Tx. One more thing my example of this thing has virtually no Barrel Droop! I have gun I paid 4 times what paid for this thing that required scope shimming for best accuracy!If you need a good excuse to buy another air rifle guys this could be it.If your example is like mine you won't be sorry.  " Jim"

Well Jim, I couldn't stand it any longer and ordered one this morning.

I hate to say it, but these things are going to be another of my addictions!

Just got mine today and it took me five shots to get it within a 1/2" of hitting the 1" bullseye at 40'.

The last three shots I could cover with a dime, and I quit at that.

I'll fine tune her tommorrow when I have a little more time.

The fit and finish on the rifle is as discribed and it's definately a lot of gun for the money, and the stock is near flawless with a nice finish, but for a small scuff mark on the forend of the stock.

For a refurb the stock and blue finish, as well as every part looks brand new, but it has the "R" stamped on the stock and barrel.

The trigger is nice, but the one thing that stands out is how heavy the rifle is.

I'm 6' tall and 226 and it feels awfully big and heavy in my hands, but that makes for a steady aim, and it does balance well when held just in front of the trigger guard.

It's made in China, but I don't see that as a problem and Walther feels good enough about it to put their name on it.

For the money I think I've got my monies worth!
